Raiders Appoint Bob MacDonald as Team Governor to WHL

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Board of Directors of the Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce the appointment of Bob MacDonald as Team Governor to the Western Hockey League. MacDonald replaces Martel Popescul who stepped down from the position in December when he was appointed to the Court of Queens Bench for Saskatchewan.

rMacDonald is returning to the Raider organization as he was on the Board of Directors as a member of the Management Committee from 1998-2002, including serving as Team President in 2000-01. He also served the Raiders as Treasurer (98-99), Vice President (99-00) and Past President (01-02).

rMacDonald is a lifelong resident of Prince Albert have served on many boards in the community including the Chamber of Commerce, High Noon Optimist Club, Junior Achievement and SHARE. MacDonald has been a partner at the accounting firm of Deloitte for the past 23 years.

It will be interesting, fun and rewarding to work with the Raiders and General Manager Donn Clark again.”

rMacDonald’s first WHL Governors Meeting will be February 6 in Calgary.
