NEW RADIO VOICE FOR HURRICANES ANNOUNCED
Marlon Martens introduced as the B 93 Hurricane Hockey Play by Play announcer – B 93 is pleased to introduce the new voice of the CJBZ-FM Lethbridge Hurricane Western Hockey League broadcasts Marlon Martens. B 93 conducted an extensive talent search to fill the vacancy created with the departure of Brad Curle and recruited Marlon from our own organization.

rMarlon Martens of the B 93 Breakfast Buzz will be taking over the B 93 hockey broadcast September 23rd at the Lethbridge Hurricane regular season opener against the Medicine Hat Tigers.

rMarlon began his hockey broadcast career with the Merritt Centennials of the BCJHL and has been the B 93 Lethbridge Hurricane color commentator for two seasons. Marlon filled in admirably for Brad Curle last season when Brad was injured. Director of Programming Reid Morgan says âMarlon’s ultimate career goal is to do Play by Play in the Western Hockey League and with the qualifications and skill set he delivers I am delighted to give him the opportunity to fulfill his ambitionâ?.
