Job Posting – Western Hockey League Director, Communications

The Western Hockey League (WHL), one of the World’s finest development leagues with currently 21 member Clubs throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Pacific Northwest, is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to serve in the Director, Communications position at their Calgary based WHL Office.

rThe WHL Director, Communications will be responsible to manage all aspects of the WHL Communications portfolio including media relations; WHL website and internet programming; all WHL broadcast agreements and new initiatives; WHL publications; WHL statistics and results system and certain hockey operations special projects.
r
rCandidates for the position should have experience in the hockey industry or related field, as well as possessing a strong set of inter-personnel skills and work ethic. A degree or diploma in a communications or related field would be an asset.
