ICE WIN HUSKY WHL EASTERN CONFERENCE TITLE
REINHART SCORES FIVE GOALS AS ICE ADVANCE TO WHL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES – Max Reinhart tied a WHL playoff record with a five-goal performance as the Kootenay Ice skated to a 7-2 win over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers in Game 4 of the Husky WHL Eastern Conference Championship series in WHL playoff action on Wednesday night.
With the win, the Ice complete a 4-0 sweep of the Tigers in the best-of-seven series and advance to the 2011 WHL Championship series.

Reinhart’s five-goal performance ties him marks the first time a player has tallied five times in a post-season contest since Dave Chartier scored five goals for the Brandon Wheat Kings in a contest versus Regina in 1981.
Kellan Tochkin and Cole Grbavac scored for the Tigers, who see their 2010-11 season come to an end with their fourth straight loss in the series.
Nathan Lieuwen made 21 saves to post his 12th win of the playoffs. Tyler Bunz and Deven Dubyk combined for 28 saves in the loss for the Tigers.
The Ice will now face either Portland or Spokane for the Ed Chynoweth Cup and a chance to compete in the 2011 MasterCard Memorial Cup tournament in Mississauga, ON, in May.
