Canes Add Ruff

Lethbridge, Alberta – Lethbridge Hurricanes General Manager, Roy Stasiuk, announced the team has added former Canes’ forward Jason Ruff to the coaching staff.

rRuff is the Hurricanes career goals and points leader. The native of Kelowna B.C. racked up 183 goals and 382 points between 1987 and 1991. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the fifth round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft.

rThe 35-year-old played 15 years of professional hockey including stops with the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lighting and St. Louis Blues. Ruff also spent time with Peoria, Houston, Atlanta, Quebec and Cleveland of the now defunct IHL. Most recently Ruff was a member of the Belfast Giants Hockey Club in the English Super League.
