Silvertips netminder Chadwick named WHL Goaltender of the Week
Calgary, Alta. – The Western Hockey League announced today that Everett Silvertips goaltender Ethan Chadwick has been named WHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending October 1, 2023.
In his lone outing of the week Chadwick, who hails from Saskatoon, Sask., posted a shutout to earn his first victory in a Silvertips uniform.
The 19-year-old stopped all 24 shots he faced Saturday, September 30 to help Everett defeat the Kamloops Blazers on home ice.
He was named the game’s Third Star.
Chadwick was originally selected by the Saskatoon Blades in the third round of the 2019 WHL Draft and was acquired by the Silvertips via trade in May of 2023. In 48 career regular season contests with Saskatoon and Everett, he has compiled a 30-13-1-1 record, 2.81 goals-against average, .896 save percentage and three shutouts.
Ethan Chadwick and the Everett Silvertips are next in action Friday, October 6 when they visit the Portland Winterhawks (7:00 p.m. PT, Veterans Memorial Coliseum).
