Blazers’ Aulin named WHL Player of the Week
Calgary, Alta. – The Bank of Montreal MasterCard – Western Hockey League Player of the Week is forward Jared Aulin of the Kamloops Blazers. Aulin earned player of the week honours by recording 10 points (1G-9A) in four games. Aulin helped lead the Blazers to a 2-1-1 record for the week.
On Wednesday, November 29, Aulin recorded three assists in a 5-2 win against the visiting Saskatoon Blades. On Friday, December 1, Aulin recorded four assists in a 7-5 victory over the visiting Prince Albert Raiders.
On Saturday, December 2, Aulin scored a goal in a 4-3 loss against the visiting Prince George Cougars. On Sunday, December 3, Aulin recorded two assists in a 5-5 tie against the Winter Hawks in Portland.
The 18-year-old from Calgary, Alta. leads the Blazers in scoring with 51 points (16G-35A) in 30 games played. Aulin was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
