2025 WHL Graduates: Moose Jaw Warriors

Over the summer, the Western Hockey League will be celebrating the WHL Graduates from the 2024-25 season in a 22-part, team-by-team series. 

Today, we continue with the graduating players from the Moose Jaw Warriors.

CHL Import Draft: 2023 – 1st Round, 15th Overall (Prince Albert)

Our Polish Prince is a WHL graduate!

After a two-season tenure as a frequent face in the Western Hockey League, import forward Krzysztof Macias joins the Moose Jaw Warriors list of graduating players. However, Macias’ first introduction to the WHL came with East Division rivals, the Prince Albert Raiders. Originally selected 15th overall in the 2023 CHL Import Draft, Macias made his long-awaited, Western League debut with Prince Albert on September 22, 2023. On that same night, the product of Nowy Targ, Poland, recorded his first career point – a goal during a 4-0 win over Moose Jaw. Hot out of the gates, Macias stoked his season-opening, hot streak by netting his first career, WHL hat-trick in just his sixth appearance with Prince Albert. Macias spent parts of two seasons with Prince Albert, suiting up in 87 appearances and recording 69 points (30 G-39 A). The forward’s best season came during his first season with the Raiders, hitting the 47-point (22 G-25 A) plateau in 65 skates. In January 2025, Macias was apart of a 2024-25 WHL Trade Deadline deal that sent him to the friendly city of Moose Jaw, Sask. And, while Macias’ stint with the Warriors was short, it was also memorable. In 31 games with Moose Jaw, the Pole collected 12 goals and eight assists for 20 points.

Having completed his WHL eligibility, Macias has announced that he will head to Czechia, suiting up for HC Vítkovice.
