Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers needed a shootout but finally took down the Edmonton Oil Kings 4-3.
Leading 3-2 late the third period, Edmonton forced overtime and eventually a shootout with a goal with 27 second left in regulation.
20-year-old forward Bretton Cameron led the way with two goals, while forward Taylor Gal added a goal and to assists.
In the shootout, Mark Isherwood and Matt Mackay scored to give the Tigers their third victory of the season.
Tyler Bunz stopped 27 of 30 shots in regulation and overtime for the Tigers and another three of four in the shootout.
Medicine Hat was 2 for 5 on the power play, while holding the Oil Kings to just one goal on eight chances.
The Medicine Hat Tigers now head out on the road with four games starting in Kelowna, BC against the Rockets on Wednesday, October 7th starting at 7:00 PM (PT).
