Tigers Select Danish D-Man in CHL Import Draft
Medicine Hat, AB – Medicine Hat Tigers selected Danish defenseman RASMUS DAMGAARD with a second round selection in the 2009 CHL Import Draft held today.
The Tigers dealt their first round pick in the import draft to Brandon for a conditional pick in the 2010 bantam draft or the Wheat King’s first round pick in the 2010 import draft.
Damgaard, a Danish born player, spent last season with Malmo IF Redhawks in the Swedish Junior League. The 6’0”, 185 lbs right defenseman also played for Team Denmark in the World Junior Championship under 18, division 1.
