THE HOME DEPOT “ON THE BENCH” CONTEST

The Medicine Hat Tigers and Home Depot are once again teaming up for this year’s “On The Bench” contest. Fans can enter their minor hockey team into the draw for a chance to practice with the Tigers players and coaches at the Arena.

Last season, Cole Rath and the Atom Senators were the “On The Bench” winners. Cole and the Senators joined Associate Coach Darren Kruger and the Tigers on ice for the end of a Tigers practice. The two teams split up off into two groups and scrimmaged. The Tigers were a little tired from practice so they had they had to try hard to keep up with the excited Senators.

Last year’s contest also had another component added to it. The Senators got a tour of the Tigers’ dressing room and workout area. The Tigers shared with the kids a little bit about what it’s like play in the WHL and what they do for fun during the season.

The contest closes December 31, 2013 and the event will take place on January 16, 2014.
