SHINKARUK NAMED ATB FINANCIAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Medicine Hat, AB – The ATB Financial Tiger of the Week for the week ending February 17, 2013 is forward Hunter Shinkaruk.
This is Shinkaruk’s third ATB Financial Tiger of the Week honour of the 2012-2013 season. Over the past week, Shinkaruk collected two goals, five assists and had a +2 rating in four games. The Tigers went 3-1-0-0 over the week.
The Tigers started the week with a quick two game road trip with games in Regina and Brandon. The Tigers won the opening game against the Pats 4-3 with Shinkaruk scoring his 31st goal of the season and adding an assist. The team then traveled to Brandon to take on the Wheat Kings. The team played a great game and shutout the Wheaties 3-0 with Shinkaruk picking up an assist in the win.
