Rockets outlast Tigers in Shootout

Kelowna, BC – The Kelowna Rockets won a back and forth affair last night at Prospera Place with a 6-5 shootout victory over the Tigers.
The game was the first of four straight road games as the Tigers tour the BC division.
Trailing 3-0 after the first period, the Tigers rang off three goals in less than a minute as Joey Frazer, Zdenek Okal and Tristan King all scored in a span of 49 seconds early in the 2nd period.
Trailing 5-4 late in the game, forward Bretton Cameron pulled the Tigers even with his second goal of the game with just 14 seconds left in regulation time.
In the shootout, The Rockets scored twice, while only defenceman Mark Isherwood scored in six attempts for the Tigers.
Goaltender Tyler Bunz stopped 28 of 33 shots and four of six in the shootout loss for the Tigers.
Medicine Hat was held scoreless on six power plays, while Kelowna went 1 for 4 with the man advantage.
The Tigers now travel to Chilliwack, BC to face former teammate Colton Grant and the Bruins on Friday, October 9th. Game time is 7:00 PM (PST).
