QUENNEVILLE NAMED ALL-STAR AT U18 CHAMPIONSHIP
Medicine Hat, AB — Medicine Hat Tigers defenceman David Quenneville was named a tournament all-star as the 2016 IIHF U18 World Championship wrapped up Sunday in Grand Forks, ND.
Quenneville finished tied for second among all defencemen in tournament scoring eight points (5g-3a) over seven games. The Edmonton native and his Team Canada teammates finished off the podium in fourth after falling to Team USA in the bronze medal game.
Mason Shaw also had a good tournament collecting 7 points (1G, 6A) in 7 games played, making him the 4th highest scoring WHL player in the entire tournament.
Shaw, Quenneville, Head Coach and General Manager Shaun Clouston and Athletic Trainer Mikki Lanuk were all in attendance for the tournament representing the Tigers.
