Pats Win Shootout With Tigers
WHL GAME SUMMARY – TIGERS TV HIGHLIGHTS
REGINA, SK – The Medicine Hat Tigers and Regina Pats battled their way to a shootout with the Pats edging the Tigers 6-5 on Saturday night.
The Tigers, who got goals from five different players, move into a tie for 1st in the Central Division with the Calgary Hitmen by gaining a single point for a shootout loss.
Defenceman Mark Isherwood opened the scoring for Medicine Hat, who twice trailed the Pats.
Also scoring for the Tigers were forwards Matt MacKay, Tristan King, Kale Kessy and Taylor Gal, who tied the game with a goal midway through the final period.
Both Linden Vey and Emerson Etem added two assists each.
Tigers netminder Deven Dubyk (5-2-0-2) stopped 37 of 42 shots in the loss. In the shootout, Medicine Hat scored twice, while the Pats managed three goals on five attempts.
Medicine Hat was 2 for 5 on the power play, while Regina was 2 for 4.
