LANGHAMER NOMINATED FOR CHL GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Calgary, AB — The WHL has nominated Marek Langhamer of the Medicine Hat Tigers for the Vaughn CHL Goaltender of the Week award. Langhamer, a 1994-born netminder from Moravska Trebova, Czech Republic, registered a 1.13 goals against average and a .951 save percentage, while winning all three of his starts this past week. On Wednesday, March 18th, Langhamer stopped 27 shots to earn a 6-2 win against the Prince Albert Raiders. On Friday, March 20th, Langhamer turned aside 21 shots to lift the Tigers to a 3-1 win against the Saskatoon Blades. The following night, Langhamer stopped all 10 shots he faced in two periods of play against the Saskatoon Blades en route to the team’s 6-2 win. Currently in his third campaign with the Medicine Hat Tigers, Langhamer has posted a 68-42-4-3 record with six shutouts in 120 career WHL regular season appearances.
