Medicine Hat, AB – The PARKCITY TOYOTA – Medicine Hat Tigers Player of the Week for the week of October 22-28, 2007 is goaltender Ryan Holfeld.
Ryan earned player of the week honours by compiling a record of 1-0-1-0 in two starts this past week.
Ryan was solid between the pipes for the Tigers last Wednesday, as the second year Tigers goaltender stopped all 19 shots he faced in regulation and overtime to earn his first shutout of the season in the Tigers 1-0 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings.
Two nights later versus the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook, BC, Ryan recorded 28 saves in a 2-1 overtime loss.
Ryan, who is from Leroy, SK, has a compiled a record of 5-1-2-0 in 10 games this season for the Tigers.
Overall, Ryan sports a G.A.A. of 2.83 and a Save % of .885.
Honourable mention goes to defenceman Jordan Bendfeld.
