Hitmen Defeat Tigers
The Calgary Hitmen proved why they are ranked the number one team in the CHL with a 5-1 win over the Medicine Hat Tigers.
Medicine Hat's lone goal came on a short-handed effort by 20-year-old forward Jerrid Sauer.
Scott Wasden drew the lone assist on the goal.
Goaltender Ryan Holfeld stopped 26 of 30 shots in a losing cause.
The Tigers finished the night going 0 for 5 on the power play, while holding the Hitmen to one goal on five man advantage opportunities.
