GAME 19: TIGERS @ CALGARY HITMEN
VS CALGARY: This is the second of six meetings this season between the Tigers and Hitmen. The Tigers won the previous game 6-4 in Calgary. Forwards Trevor Cox (1G,1A), Logan McVeigh (1G,1A), Hunter Shinkaruk (2A) and defenceman Tommy Vannelli (2A) led the Tigers with two points each. Marek Langhamer picked up the victory in net for the Tigers. He allowed only four goals against (4.00 GAA) on 30 shots (.867 Save %). On the power play the Tigers went 4 for 7 (57.1%), while killing off 4 of 6 (66.6%) Hitmen chances.

MILESTONES: Miles Koules hit a major milestone in a couple of games ago. His goal in the third period against Spokane was his 50th career point in the WHL. In two seasons with the Tigers, Koules has scored 23 goals and added 27 assists in 86 games. Logan McVeigh also recently hit a major milestone in a recent game. McVeigh’s tying goal against Tri-City was his 100th career point. In 216 games, McVeigh has scored 38 goals and added 64 assist for 102 points. Curtis Valk is also quickly approaching a very impressive milestone. Valk is only three assists away from 100 in his career with Tigers. In 216 games with the Tigers, Valk has scored 86 and assisted on 97 others for 183 points.
STREAKS: To go along with the Tigers six game point streak Steven Owre has also been riding an impressive individual streak. He’s collected a point in each of the past seven games. Over the streak he’s scored four times and added three assists for seven points.
ATB PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Steven Owre was named the ATB Tiger of the Week for the week ending November 3rd. It is his first player of the week honour of the season. He picked up two goals and an assist over three games. Over the week the Tigers went 3-0-0-0.
SUBWAY SUPER SERIES: Hunter Shinkaruk was selected to represent Team WHL at the Subway Super Series. Team WHL will take on the Russians November 2
BMO CHL TOP 10: The Tigers jumped back into the BMO CHL Top 10 rankings this week. They sit ninth on the list. This is their third week being ranked on the list. They are one of three WHL teams to make the list this week (Portland Winterhawks (3) and Kelowna(7)).
