Former Tigers GM Doug Mosher Passes Away
It is with sadness the Medicine Hat Tigers announce the passing of former Tigers’ general manager Doug Mosher.
Doug was a long time serving member of the RCMP prior to joining the Western Hockey League with the Tri-City Americans, Swift Current Broncos and Medicine Hat Tigers.
During his time in the WHL, Mosher was in a scouting capacity with Tri-Cities and Swift Current before being named the Broncos’ director of player personnel and later on as general manager. He was named the Eastern Conference Executive of the Year in 1995-96 while with the Broncos. Following the 1995-96 season, Doug made the move to Medicine Hat taking over as Tigers’ general manager.
Doug, 71, was currently a scout with the NHL’s Minnesota Wild at the time of his passing.
The funeral will take place on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Maple Creek Armoury at 11:00 a.m.
