Medicine Hat, AB – The ATB Tiger of the Week for the week ending November 11, 2012 is forward Elgin Pearce.

This is Pearce’s second ATB Tiger of the Week honour of the 2012-2013 season and second in a row. Over the past week, Pearce collected two goals, four assists and a plus/minus rating of +5 in two games. The Tigers went 1-1-0-0 over the week.

The first game of the week saw the Tigers take on the Moose Jaw Warriors at home on Friday night. The Tigers took charge of the game in the third period with three consecutive goals to win 5-2. Pearce had a game high three points. Pearce assisted on Boston Leier’s late second period goal and Hunter Shinkaruk’s early third period goal. He then followed up those helpers with his seventh goal of the season to put the Tigers comfortably up a pair of goals. For his efforts Pearce was awarded the second star of the game.

The next night the Victoria Royals visited the Arena for their lone game in Medicine Hat this season. The Tigers didn’t play their best game of the season falling 5-3 to the Royals. Pearce had another big game though leading the Tigers with three points. For the second night in a row, Pearce recorded a goal and two assists and was one of only three plus players for the Tigers. Pearce scored the Tigers’ first goal early in the first while on the power play to tie the game at 1-1. He also assisted on Shinkaruk and Miles Koules’ third period goals. Pearce was once again named the game’s second star.

At the end of the week, Pearce sat third in team scoring with 25 points (8G, 17A).
