Tigers Sign Petrovics to WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement

Medicine Hat, AB – The Medicine Hat Tigers are proud to announce the signing of defenceman Bruno Petrovics (Riga, LAT) to a WHL Scholarship & Development Agreement.

Petrovics was selected in the 1st round of the 2023 CHL Import Draft on July 5. Petrovics scored 12 points (three goals, nine assists) in 35 games played in the Finland U18 League with SM-sarja while also representing Latvia during the U18 Championships playing in five games.

Tigers Director of Player Personnel Bobby Fox says Petrovics adds options to the Tiger defence.

“Bruno is a two-way left-handed d-man with a motor,” he says. “He skates well & shows good situational awareness and anticipation.”

Petrovics will attend Tigers fall training camp later in August.
