TIGERS SELECT COLE SILLINGER WITH THE 11TH OVERALL PICK
Medicine Hat, AB – With the 11th pick overall, the Medicine Hat Tigers selected centre Cole Sillinger in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
Sillinger was a member of the Oakanagan Hockey Academy Bantam Prep in the CSSBHL this past year. He played in 30 games, scoring 46 goals and picking up 37 assists for 83 points. The Regina, SK product is 5’11, 165 lbs and the son of former hockey player Mike Sillinger.
“We are thrilled to acquire Cole Sillinger in the Bantam draft,” said GM and Head Coach Shaun Clouston. “He is a fierce competitor with high end scoring ability. We believe he will be a perfect fit with our organization.”
Sillinger is the 28th first round draft pick by the Tabbies in franchise history since the draft began in 1990 and will be invited to prospects orientation camp in June.
