VS CALGARY: Tonight is the seventh of eight meetings between the Tigers and the Hitmen, the Hitmen hold a lead in the season series 5-1-0-0 with the most recent game being a 6-5 win for Calgary on January 29th. Logan Barlage had a pair of goals and an assist in that affair. Calgary is 21-30-6-2 which is good enough for 50 points and puts them in 11th in the Eastern Conference, currently five points out of a playoff spot. Leading the way offensively for the Hitmen is Riley Fiddler-Schultz who has 26 goals and 35 assists this season. The Hitmen are 2-7-1-0 in their last 10 games, while the Tigers are 2-8-0-0.

LAST GAME: Medicine Hat travelled to Red Deer for the final time this season. Red Deer spoiled the visit coming away as 3-0 winners. Arshdeep Bains continued his assault of the Western Hockey League potting a goal and assist. The game marked the return of Tigers forward Noah Danielson and Goaltender Beckett Langkow, who was tabbed for his first start since February 19th. Langkow was solid in his return stopping 40 of 43 shots including some highlight reel saves.
MILESTONES: Tigers Forward Logan Barlage notched his 100th career WHL assist against his former team, the Lethbridge Hurricanes on February 26th in Lethbridge, and forward Carter Chorney played in his 200th career WHL Game on the same evening. Captain Daniel Baker played in his 200th career WHL game on January 21st in Saskatoon. Owen MacNeil appeared in his 100th career WHL game vs the Prince Albert Raiders the following night. Rhett Parsons, Oren Shtrom, Oasiz Wiesblatt, Tyler MacKenzie, Pavel Bocharov, Teague Patton and Brayden Boehm, Ashton Ferster and Reid Andresen have each recently played in their 60th career games.
PLAYER TO WATCH: Andrew Basha was drafted by the Tigers in the 5th round of the 2020 WHL Prospect Draft, 105th overall. The 5’11 forward from Vegreville, AB has shown a huge increase in confidence in both his puck handling and shooting at the WHL level. Basha has three goals and eight assists through 39 career games with the Tigers. The 16-year-old has earned the trust and respect of his coaches and players, earning critical minutes in the game on both the powerplay and in game deciding situations.
