The Story Coming In
The Medicine Hat Tigers went 7-2-1-0 in the month of January improving their record to 27-17-2-2. Tonight the Tabbies travel to Moose Jaw to battle the Warriors in the second half of a home and home series. The Warriors took the first game 3-1 last Saturday night in Medicine Hat. Baxter Anderson was the lone goal scorer for the Tigers in the losing cause. The Orange and Black are led by veteran forward James Hamblin with 57 points (27G, 30A), Brett Kemp with 42 points (25G, 17A) and Ryan Jevne also with 42 points (21G, 21A).
Tigers vs. Warriors
Tonight will be the fourth and final meeting between the Medicine Hat Tigers and the Moose Jaw Warriors this season. The Tigers are 1-1-0-1 against the Warriors this season and the last time the Tigers defeated the Warriors was December 5th in a 6-5 overtime decision.

The Moose Jaw Warriors return home from a seven-game road trip with a 6-0-1-0 record. After tonight’s contest, the Warriors will go on the road for their next 5 games. The Warriors are led by veteran forward Tristin Langan with 79 points (38G, 41A) and 2018 Pittsburg Penguin draft pick Justin Almeida with 66 points (18G, 48A).
Tigers Talent
Cole Clayton is a very competitive defender that plays hard in all three zones. The 18-year-old Strathmore, AB product has great composure with the puck and sees the ice well. Clayton is fearless and he is not afraid to mix it up or block shots. Although he is primarily a stay at home defenceman, Clayton still contributes offensively by making smart plays.
Captain’s Corner
Captain James Hamblin has been the Tigers’ top point producer all season with 57 points (27G, 30A) so far. The 19-year-old Edmonton product is currently 13th in the league for scoring. Hamblin is a smart, two-way forward with a pass-first mentality but who also possesses a scoring touch. He leads the Tigers by example on and off the ice with his hard work ethic, hustle and heart.
