Tiger Tales: 2022-23 WHL Season Finale

Medicine Hat, AB – As we await the 2023-24 WHL Season, the Medicine Hat Tigers will be looking back at some of our greatest plays, moments, players & teams throughout the offseason from all different eras and times with our organization.

To kick things off the Tigers are coming back to the biggest game of the season (literally)! The season series with the Swift Current Broncos was a tough one for the orange and black only recording one win in the eight game series leading up to the finale at home. After falling 3-1 in Swift Current on March 24, Co-op Place would see 4506 fans fill the bowl in the winner take all game with one team going home for the season and the other heading to the WHL playoffs, where both teams had seen droughts up to that point since their last appearance.

Despite going down 2-0 early to the visitors, the Tigers would rattle off four straight goals on route to an eventual 4-3 victory and a date with the Winnipeg ICE shortly after. The energy not felt since the 2019-20 season, saw plenty of peaks in emotions in for everyone in the building. Relive the game below in the highlights!
