FORMER TIGER LANGHAMER RESIGNS WITH ARIZONA

Medicine Hat, AB — Late Monday evening the Arizona Coyotes announced that former Tiger goaltender Marek Langhamer has resigned with the Arizona Coyotes, the team that drafted the netminder in the 7th Round of the 2012 NHL Draft. The new deal for Marek is a one-year, two-way deal with a $660,000 NHL cap hit and a $67,500 AHL salary.

In 3 seasons with the Tigers Langhamer was fantastic in his final two season in the Hat posting 53 wins in 90 appearances. Langhamer was the crucial part of the orange and black in 2013-14 when he back stopped the Tigers to the Eastern Conference Finals. Marek is known as the final Import goaltender to play in the CHL after his overage season in 2014-15.

Last season Marek split some time with the Rapid City Rush (ECHL), appearing in 7 games and the Tucson Roadrunners (AHL) appearing in 25 games. Langhamer also got himself into an NHL game last year playing 16 minutes and allowing 1 goal on 8 shots.

The Tigers look forward to Marek continuing his development on his journey to the NHL.
