Silvertips Training Camp Underway
EVERETT, WA – The Everett Silvertips officially began their 2011 training camp this week with the club’s first organized scrimmages at Comcast Arena. Roughly 70 players have converged on Everett to showcase their abilities against other returning and potential Silvertips. Most are vying for roster spots for the 2011-2012 Western Hockey League season, while some are looking to make an impression going into their eligibility for next year.
Training camp scrimmages continue through Saturday leading up to the Green vs. Grey intrasquad scrimmage game on Sunday afternoon. See below for the full scrimmage schedule:
Thursday 8/25 – morning session
9:00 am: Red vs. Blue
10:30 am: Green vs. Grey
Thursday 8/25 – afternoon session
2:30 pm: Grey vs. Red
4:00 pm: Blue vs. Green
Friday 8/26 – morning session
9:00 am: Grey vs. Blue
10:30 am: Red vs. Green
Friday 8/26 – afternoon session
3:00 pm: Grey vs. Green
4:30 pm: Blue vs. Red
Saturday 8/27 – morning session
9:00 am: Red vs. Green
10:30 am: Blue vs. Grey
Saturday 8/27 – afternoon session
2:30 pm: Grey vs. Red
4:00 pm: Green vs. Blue
Sunday 8/28
1:00 pm: Green vs. Grey intrasquad scrimmage
The main Comcast Arena entrance opens 15 minutes before each morning and afternoon scrimmage session and 30 minutes prior to the Green vs. Grey game on Sunday. Admission is free and fans will be directed to sit in sections 118 and 119 when they arrive at the arena.
