GAME RECAP: Silvertips fall just short in Prince George, lose 3-1
PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. — The Everett Silvertips saw their three-game win streak come to an end Monday night, as the Prince George Cougars earned a 3-1 victory at the CN Centre.
Terik Parascak netted the first goal of the game at 3:32 in the second period, burying a loose puck past Tips netminder Tyler Palmer for his 22nd goal of the season. Bauer Dumanski netted his third of the campaign at 13:34 in the third period. Though Beau Courtney halved the deficit with his fifth of the year just 28 seconds later, the Silvertips were unable to pull even. Zac Funk’s empty netter at 18:34 sealed the deal for Prince George.
Parascak finished the night with three points. Seventeen-year-old rookie Joshua Ravensbergen stopped 28 of 29 in the win. Palmer turned aside 29 of 31.
