Team Matchup
After facing Everett twice in the preseason and once already during the regular season, the Royals are quite familiar with the Silvertips. Everett leads the Western Conference through six games played with a record of 5-0-1-0. The Royals enter the matchup with the best power play in the WHL, holding a record of 3-1-1-0. This weekend will mark an opportunity for the Royals to pick up some points on home ice.
Players to Watch
Victoria
Roan Woodward – After his four-goal performance against the Vancouver Giants, Woodward remains red-hot heading into this week. Second in the WHL in goals, with seven in his first five games, Woodward is an offensive weapon for the Royals, particularly on the power play where six of his seven goals have been scored. A former Silvertip, Woodward will look to continue his explosive start this weekend against his former team.
Everett
Shea Busch – Following a hat-trick in the last meeting between Victoria and Everett, Busch has proven to be a strong scoring talent for Everett, tied for third in the league in goals behind Royals Roan Woodward.
Don’t miss out on exciting WHL action this weekend between two titans of the Western Conference. Let’s come together and give back to our community during Goals of Giving this Friday and celebrate everyone’s favourite marmot this Saturday!
