Royals Announce 23-24 Regular Season Schedule
The Royals will start the season on the road against the Vancouver Giants
The Victoria Royals are pleased to announce their 68-game WHL regular-season schedule ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.
The Royals will open up the season on the road on Friday, September 22 against the Vancouver Giants at the Langley Event Centre. Opening weekend will conclude the following night, Saturday, September 23 as the Royals travel to Everett to take on the Silvertips.
The Royals will welcome the Prince George Cougars to the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre for their home-opener weekend on Friday, September 29 at 7:05pm as well as Saturday, September 30 at 6:05pm.
The team will play 34 home games at the SOFMC from September to March.
“The players have a strong sense of mission and purpose for this coming season, and they can’t wait to get the 2023-24 campaign started. This promises to be an exciting year with many great moments and memories – another chapter in the Royals story and hopefully one of our best ones yet” – General Manager and Head Coach Dan Price.
There are a number of key dates slated for the SOFMC that fans won’t want to miss, including:
- The first visit from a Central Division opponent since 2019 when the Swift Current Broncos come to town on Saturday, October 14
- Gavin Mckenna and the Medicine Hat Tigers on Tuesday, October 17
- First visit by Mainland rivals Vancouver on Saturday, October 28
- Reigning WHL Champion Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday, November 10
- Hockey Day in Canada game on Saturday, January 20 against the Kamloops Blazers
- First visit from the Wenatchee Wild on Wednesday, March 20.
