Rebels And Hurricanes Swing Deal
RED DEER, AB – Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today a trade with the Lethbridge Hurricanes. The Rebels have acquired 20-year old forward (DOB: Dec. 21/1994) Riley Sheen and a conditional 5th round selection in the 2017 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft in exchange for 20-year old forward/defenceman Devan Fafard and 17-year old forward Brayden Burke.
Sheen is in his fourth full season in the WHL, having played previously with Medicine Hat, Seattle and Lethbridge. He has played in 209 career WHL games, scoring 36 goals and 79 assists for 115 points. Sheen also has 6 points in 15 career WHL playoff games.
