Rebels select two at 2024 WHL U.S. Priority Draft
RED DEER – The Red Deer Rebels made two selections today at the 2024 WHL U.S. Priority Draft.
With the 15th overall pick in round one, the Rebels selected defenceman Nikolas Ferry from Los Angeles, California. In 68 games with the Los Angeles Kings U14 AAA team this season, Ferry recorded 20 points.
In the second round, 37th overall, the Rebels selected defenceman Bodi Anerson from Eagle River, Alaska. In 48 games with Team Alaska U14 Tier 1, Anderson had 14 points.

Players eligible for the 2024 WHL U.S. Priority Draft were 2009-born players who reside in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The Rebels had two former first-round U.S. Priority Draft picks on their roster this past season in Quentin Bourne from Lawndale, California (2021 8th overall) and Jeramiah Roberts from Colorado Springs, Colorado (2022 14th overall).
Players not selected in the 2024 WHL U.S. Priority Draft remain eligible to be selected in tomorrow’s 2024 WHL Prospects Draft, or listed by a WHL Club at any time thereafter.
