Josephson wins gold with Canada at World U18s
Ollie likes gold!
For the second time in less than a year, Rebels centre Ollie Josephson has won gold as a member of Team Canada.
A thrilling third period rally gave Canada a 6-4 win over the United States in Sunday’s championship game at the World U18 Men’s Hockey Championship in Espoo, Finland.
Josephson had three assists and was plus-one at the tournament while playing a key penalty killing role for Canada.
The Victoria, BC native also won gold with Canada at last summer’s Hlinka Gretzky Cup in Czechia and Slovakia.
Josephson just wrapped up his second season with the Rebels and finished second in team scoring with 47 points. He is the 40th ranked North American Skater by NHL Central Scouting for the 2024 NHL Draft in Las Vegas.
