Rebels acquire Wilke from Hurricanes
RED DEER – Red Deer Rebels General Manager Brent Sutter today announced that the club has completed a trade with the Lethbridge Hurricanes.
The Rebels have acquired forward Trae Wilke (’06, Saskatoon) from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a fourth-round pick, 84th overall at the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft, and a fourth-round pick at the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft.
Wilke collected 25 points in 68 games with the Hurricanes in 2023-24. It was his first full season with the club after being selected by Lethbridge in round two, 29th overall by Lethbridge at the 2021 WHL Prospects Draft. He has 33 points in 100 career WHL games.
