Game Preview: October 25 @ Swift Current
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (8-0-2-0) conclude a home and home set tonight in Swift Current against the Broncos (6-4-1-0). The Raiders picked up a big 4-0 win at home over the Broncos last night, in a game that saw all four goals come in the third period.
SHUTOUT #2:
In just his fifth WHL start, Raiders netminder Michal Orsulak has already recorded two shutouts. In last night’s win, the Czech import stopped all 18 shots he faced, recording his fourth win of the season. In five games this season, Orsulak has a 4-0-1-0 record, along with a 1.79 GAA and a .918 SV%.
THE +/- DEPARTMENT:
Two Raiders are in the WHL Top 10 in the +/- category. 17-year-old defenceman Benett Kelly leads the Raiders with a +11 rating, which ranks seventh in the entire league. Fellow defenceman Brock Cripps has a +10 rating, which is tied for 10th in the WHL.
BOYCHUK CONTINUES TO PRODUCE:
Raiders forward Riley Boychuk enters tonight looking to extend his point streak to 11 games. With an assist last night, Boychuk has at least one point in every single game this season. Kooper Gizowski (PG) and Brock Souch (PG) are on an league-high 11 game point streak, obviously with a game in hand on Boychuk. Matias Vanhanen in Everett is tied with Boychuk at a 10 game point streak.

REPRESENTING AT THE WHL CUP:
Three Raiders prospects are playing at the WHL Cup this week: Athens Shingoose (Manitoba), Brady Filmon (Manitoba), and Tripp Fischer (Alberta). Both Shingoose and Fischer were named alternate captains for their teams at the tournament.
UP NEXT:
Prince Albert returns home for a pair of games at the Art Hauser Centre next weekend. On Friday night (Halloween), they host the Calgary Hitmen, followed by a game against the Moose Jaw Warriors on Saturday, November 1st. After those two contests, the team hits the road for their U.S. Division road trip, which actually begins on Wednesday, November 5th, before their first visit to a U.S. Division team in Spokane on Friday, November 7th.
