Game Preview: December 19 vs Kelowna
SETTING IT UP:
The Prince Albert Raiders (22-5-4-0) play their final game before the Christmas break tonight as they host the Kelowna Rockets (16-11-3-1). The Raiders dropped their last game 5-4 in Regina, while the Rockets picked up a 3-2 shootout win in Saskatoon on Wednesday. Kelowna is 3-2-0-0 on their East Division road swing, with their last stop being tonight at the Art Hauser Centre.
HIS FIRST POINT AS A RAIDER:
Brandon Gorzynski picked up an assist on Justice Christensen’s goal on Wednesday in Regina. It was his first point in his first game as a Raider.
WORLD JUNIORS UPDATE:
Alisher Sarkenov won a silver medal with Kazakhstan at the Division 1, Group A U20 Championship. In five games, Sarkenov scored three goals and added six assists for nine points, which was tied for eighth in tournament scoring. Sarkenov will join the Raiders again after the Christmas break.
Matyas Man and Michal Orsulak were named to Czechia’s national team camp, and are away from the team as they are in Minnesota.
RUDOLPH CONTINUES TO ROLL:
Daxon Rudolph extended his goal scoring streak to six games, and his point streak to seven games (six sevennnnnn). He scored a highlight reel goal in Regina on Wednesday, dancing through three Pats at center ice and the blue line, before burying a backhand shot past Marek Schlenker. He received WHL Highlight of the Night honours with the tally.
MONKEY OFF THE BACK:
Oli Chenier scored a goal for the first time since the 2025-26 home opener. He was a candidate for the highlight of the night, as he went between the legs to score his second goal of the season.

The Raiders are off until December 27th after tonight’s game, where they will visit the Swift Current Broncos. That’s the start of a home and home set, with the second game coming on December 29th at the Art Hauser Centre.
