SETTING IT UP:
Prince Albert (16-11-3-0) wraps up a home and home set tonight in Swift Current as they take on the Broncos (17-14-0-1). The Raiders picked up a 2-1 win last night over the Broncos, thanks to the game winning goal by Luke Moroz with 4:56 left in regulation. With the win, the Raiders moved into a tie with the Broncos and Brandon Wheat Kings for sixth place in the Eastern Conference at 35 points. All three teams are just five points back of the Saskatoon Blades for first place in the Eastern Conference entering tonight. Prince Albert has two games in hand on Saskatoon, and four games in hand on the second place Medicine Hat Tigers, who have 39 points entering tonight’s action.
A WIN TO REMEMBER:
Friday night’s win was a big one not only for the Raiders players, but for Ryan McDonald. McDonald, who is an assistant coach, is the interim head coach right now for the club, as Jeff Truitt is recovering from surgery. McDonald picked up his first WHL head coaching win last night.
