Game Day: October 14 @ Kelowna
SETTING IT UP:
The Raiders (1-4-2-0) aim to snap a five game losing streak tonight in Kelowna, as their BC road trip continues against the Rockets. Prince Albert started the trip off with a back and forth 5-4 loss to the Prince George Cougars on Saturday night. Brayden Dube, Aiden Oiring, and Niall Crocker all had two point nights, but a hat trick from Riley Heidt proved to be the deciding factor in the Cougars’ win. The Rockets have won two straight games after starting the season 0-5-0-0. Their most recent win came in dominant fashion, 9-4 over the Portland Winterhawks on Friday night on home ice.
THE POLISH PRINCE:
After waiting for his arrival back from AHL camp, as well as serving a two game suspension, Krzysztof Macias is finally expected to be back in the lineup tonight, which is sure to provide a boost of offence to the club. Last season, Macias finished fourth in team scoring with 47 points, and is poised to improve on that number in his overage campaign.
WHO’S HOT:
Aiden Oiring has led the Raiders in scoring nearly the whole season, quietly scoring nine points (2G-7A). He’s currently the only player on the team with more than a point per game average, with last game’s goal and assist performance helping out with that. While Max Hildebrand is holding a 1-3-2-0 record this season, you can hardly blame him for the losses with his 2.97 GAA and .912 SV%, almost single handedly keeping the Raiders in every game this season.

UP NEXT:
It’s a quick turnaround for the Raiders, as they head to Kamloops to take on the Blazers on Tuesday night, which will mark the midway point of their five game road swing. After that, they’ll wrap the trip up on the weekend, with a visit to Victoria on Friday, and Vancouver on Saturday.
