Raiders Facing Elimination After Game 3 Loss to Winnipeg
Prince Albert, Sask. – The Prince Albert Raiders lost Game 3 10-1 to the Winnipeg ICE on Tuesday night at the Art Hauser Centre.
Harrison Lodewyk recorded his first career WHL Playoffs goal in the loss for the Raiders.
Winnipeg now leads the best-of-seven series 3-0.
The ICE struck four times in the opening frame to take a 4-0 lead after the first 20 minutes. Mikey Milne scored twice in the frame, while Zachary Benson and Owen Pederson also scored.
In the second, Benson struck again to make it 5-0. Connor McClennon, Jakin Smallwood, and Conor Geekie all found the back of the net before Milne completed his hat trick to give Winnipeg a 9-0 lead after two periods.
[related_links] Lodewyk struck 1:40 into the third period to get the Raiders on the board. Niall Crocker and Dallyn Peekeekoot dug for the puck at the side of the Winnipeg net. The puck bounced out to Lodewyk at the top of the crease and he fired it past Daniel Hauser for his first of the postseason.
Skyler Bruce rounded out the scoring midway through the third period to make it a 10-1 game for Winnipeg.
Tikhon Chaika played the first half of the game, stopping 17 shots before he was relieved. Max Hildebrand made nine saves in the second half of the contest. Hauser turned aside 18 shots to pick up the win.
