Guhle, Canada Claim Top Spot in Group A
Edmonton, AB – Kaiden Guhle and Team Canada completed an undefeated run through the preliminary round at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship on Thursday, defeating Finland 4-1 to close out group action.
Canada’s perfect 4-0 record in the group stage gave them top spot in Group A, setting up a quarter-final matchup with Czech Republic on Saturday, January 2. Czech Republic finished fourth in Group B, winning one of its four games in the group stage.
Through four games at the tournament, Guhle has two goals and four penalty minutes. His first goal opened the scoring for Canada in its 16-2 win over Germany on Boxing Day.

His second goal came late in Canada’s 10-0 win over Switzerland on Dec. 29.
