Raiders Weekly – March 9
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders face the penultimate weekend of the 2019-20 regular season with a home-and-home series against a division foe.
This week, the Raiders take on the Moose Jaw Warriors (14-43-4-0) on Friday night at the Art Hauser Centre. The game is presented by the Car Guys at Mann Northway Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac in support of Cystic Fibrosis Canada.
The Raiders will be wearing specialty jerseys for the game. Proceeds from the jersey auction will be donated to Cystic Fibrosis Canada. For more information on Cystic Fibrosis Canada, click here.

In the season series so far, the Raiders have won all four games against the Warriors. Aliaksei Protas leads all skaters with five goals and three assists. Ryder Korczak is the top point performer for the Warriors with three goals and three assists.

The Raiders are coming off a busy week featuring four games in six nights, posting a record of 2-1-1 in that span.
The week began with an 8-3 win over the Calgary Hitmen at the Art Hauser Centre. Three players posted a three-point night in the win, led by Brayden Watts’ two goals and an assist. Reece Vitelli also chipped in a pair of goals.
On Friday night at home, the Raiders dropped a 3-2 game in overtime against the Brandon Wheat Kings. Watts continued his hot week by recording both Raiders’ goals.
The Raiders travelled to Brandon for the rematch on Saturday night, doubling up the Wheat Kings 4-2 at Westoba Place. Watts turned in his third consecutive two-goal performance. Protas and Ozzy Wiesblatt each recorded a goal and an assist.
The weekend ended with a 3-0 shutout loss to the Winnipeg ICE on Sunday evening at Wayne Fleming Arena. Liam Hughes turned aside all 34 shots the Raiders fired on goal.
Entering this week, the Raiders are in first place of the East Division with a six point cushion on the Wheat Kings. Winnipeg is third in the division, sitting seven points back of the Raiders.
