Raiders Weekly – March 2
Prince Albert, SK – The Prince Albert Raiders enter the final month of the regular season with a four-game week, including two at home.
Last week, the Raiders faced a three-in-three weekend against East Division opponents. The week started with a 4-2 loss to the Saskatoon Blades at SaskTel Centre. In the rematch at the Art Hauser Centre on Saturday night, the Raiders blanked the Blades 3-0. The week concluded with a 3-2 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors at home on Sunday evening.
Ozzy Wiesblatt led the week with four points over the three games. Max Paddock posted a 1-1 record with a 0.932 save percentage and a shutout. Carter Serhyenko picked up the win in goal on Sunday.
This week’s action begins on Tuesday night when the Calgary Hitmen come to town for “This Girl Can” Night in conjunction with the 2020 Esso Cup Committee, the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association, and the Prince Albert Northern Bears. For more information, click here.

Tuesday night marks the final game against the Central Division during the regular season. The Raiders are 1-2-0-0 against the Hitmen this season. Brayden Watts leads the Raiders with three goals during the season series, while Josh Prokop tops the Hitmen with two goals and an assist.

On Friday, the Raiders host the Brandon Wheat Kings (34-21-4-1) to wrap up the four-game homestand. This season, the Raiders have won three of the four matchups between the two teams. Aliaksei Protas leads the season series with a goal and four assists. Five Wheat Kings are tied with two points each.

The Raiders then head to Manitoba for a pair of games to complete the three-in-three weekend. Saturday night sees the Raiders head to Brandon to wrap up the season series at Westoba Place. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday night, the Raiders finish their season series against the Winnipeg ICE at Wayne Fleming Arena. Puck drop is 5 p.m. The Raiders have won three of the five games against the ICE this season, including a split in Winnipeg. Ilya Usau (four goals, two assists) and Aliaksei Protas (two goals, four assists) lead the Raiders with six points in the season series. Owen Pederson is the ICE’s leading point getter with six goals and three assists.
