GAME DAY: Hurricanes Play Middle of 3-in-3 in Kootenay
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will look to get back in the win column tonight as they play the middle of a three-in-three weekend as they travel to Cranbrook to face the Kootenay Ice.
The Hurricanes (18-10-4-2) are coming off a 6-2 loss last night to the hands of the Victoria Royals at the ENMAX Centre to end a three-game winning streak. Jordy Bellerive and Calen Addison scored the goals in the losing cause which dropped the ‘Canes record to 9-2-2-0 in their last 13 outings.
The Ice (8-23-5-1) are coming off a 4-1 loss last night in Medicine Hat against the Tigers. Martin Bodak scored the lone goal in the losing cause while Jesse Makaj made 29 saves in the game. The loss was their second straight and 14th in their last 16 games.
Tonight will be the third meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and the Ice; Lethbridge has won the previous two meetings on the season by 6-3 and 3-2 (OT) scores.
VS. ICE: Tonight will be the third of six meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Ice. The ‘Canes have won the first two games having outscored the Ice 9-5 in those games. The ‘Canes are 8-1-0-0 in the last nine meetings between the two teams, with last year included.
