GAME DAY: Hurricanes Wrap 3-in-3 in Cranbrook
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes wrap their final three-in-three weekend of the season this afternoon as they travel to face the Kootenay Ice in Cranbrook at 4:00pm.
The Hurricanes (33-16-4-3) are coming off a 5-0 loss last night in Medicine Hat to the Tigers. It was their first regulation loss since January 4th and it snapped a nine game winning streak and a 15 game point streak. It was the first time all season the ‘Canes were shutout. Hurricanes remain second in the Central Division.
The Ice (12-34-7-2) are coming off a 4-3 loss last night at home to the hands of the Prince Albert Raiders. Former Hurricane forward Colton Kroeker scored twice in the loss for Kootenay. The Ice have lost five straight games and are tied with Prince Albert for last in the entire Western Hockey League.
Today is the fifth of seven meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and the Ice, the teams have split the previous four games with each team winning once at home and once on the road.
