GAME DAY: Hurricanes Visit Vees in First Ever Meeting
Penticton, BC – The Lethbridge Hurricanes continue a seven-game road trip tonight with the first of six straight through the BC Division as they visit the expansion Penticton Vees for the first ever meeting at 7:30pm at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
The Hurricanes (5-14-0-1) enter after suffering a 5-2 loss on Saturday in Swift Current to the Broncos to open their seven-game road trip. Kai Anderson scored twice in the loss while Brody Rotar made his first WHL start in the game. Lethbridge outshot Swift Current 39-17 setting a new season-high for shots in a game. The ‘Canes enter tonight with a record of 2-7-0-0 on the road but have lost their last five games away from home.
The Vees (9-6-1-2) enter with a 4-4-1-1 record in their last ten games after a 4-2 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Friday. Booker Toninato, Nolan Stevenson, Jacob Kvasnicka and Matteo Danis scored in the win while Andrew Reyelts made 23-saves. Penticton has posted a 5-5-1-0 record on home this season, but are 0-1-0-0 against Central Division opponents.

VS. VEES: Tonight will be the first and only meeting of the season between the Hurricanes and Vees. It marks the first ever meeting between Lethbridge and Penticton in the Vees inaugural season. The ‘Canes posted a record of 3-1-1-0 against the BC Division last year while going 6-3-1-1 against the Western Conference. So far this year, Lethbridge has gone 1-1-0-1 against Western opponents.

Thru 20: The Hurricanes enter tonight with a 5-14-0-1 record (11 points) on the season after 20 games. The ‘Canes are 3-7-0-1 at home and 2-7-0-0 on the road. In 2024-2025, Lethbridge had posted a 12-7-1-0 record after 20 games. The ‘Canes have posted a 2-2-0-0 record in the month of November.
Big Trade: On November 9th, the Hurricanes acquired 2006-born forward Kayden Longley, prospect Grayson Bauer along with five draft picks including a conditional first-round pick in 2026 from the Kelowna Rockets in exchange for overage forward Shane Smith and the WHL rights to 2007-born import forward Vojtech Cihar. Seventh Heaven: On November 7th, Luke Cozens recorded a career-high seven points (2g-5a) in an 8-7 victory over the Brandon Wheat Kings. He became the first Hurricane to record a seven-point game since Mitch Fadden had seven points in a victory against the Red Deer Rebels on March 17th, 2007. Cozens finished two points off the Hurricanes record of nine points held by Jason Ruff and Corey Lyons. He was the 11th player in ‘Canes history to record seven-or-more points in a game. The Whitehorse, Yukon product has recorded 28 points (12g-16a) in 20 games this season.
Tremendous Duo: Logan Wormald and Luke Cozens have combined for 21 goals and 52 points this season for the Hurricanes. The duo has combined to score 35% of Lethbridge’s goals this season. Cozens enters tonight tied for the fifth-most WHL in points (28) as he is tied for second in the Eastern Conference. Wormald sits 15th in the WHL scoring race with 24 points in 20 games.

Top-20 Worm: Logan Wormald suited up in 250th WHL game on October 24th in Moose Jaw. He enters tonight having collected 24 points (9g-15a) along with 15 penalty minutes in 20 games.
