GAME DAY: Hurricanes Host Ice
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will play the second of a two game home-stand tonight at 7:00pm when they welcome the Kootenay Ice to the ENMAX Centre.
The Hurricanes (7-9-1-2) are coming off a 5-3 loss on Sunday night after a week between games. Tyler Wong scored twice in the game, including his 100th WHL goal. Affiliate call-up Dylan Cozens scored his first WHL goal in his first WHL game while rookie forward Jadon Joseph registered his first WHL point earning a pair of power play assists in the losing cause. The loss dropped the Hurricanes home ice record to 5-4-1-0 on the season.
The Ice (3-12-4-1) are coming off a 5-2 loss last night to the hands of the Central Division leading Medicine Hat Tigers in Cranbrook. Zak Zborosky scored his 14th goal of the season while Noah Philp netted his second in the loss. The Ice gave up 55 shots in the game forcing Payton Lee to make 50 saves.
Tonight will be the second of seven meetings this season between the Hurricanes and the Ice. Lethbridge earned a 5-4 victory over Kootenay in their first meeting on September 30th at the ENMAX Centre.
