JOIN THE HITMEN FAMILY - BECOME A BILLET!
The journey of a junior hockey player involves hard work, commitment, and often significant personal sacrifice. For many players, pursuing their dreams means moving away from home at a young age - sometimes for the very first time. During this transition, having a welcoming, stable living environment can make all the difference in helping them feel comfortable, supported, and confident.
As a billet family, opening your home to a player means becoming an important part of their support system. Billet families provide a safe, respectful, and caring home away from home, allowing players to focus on their development, education, and performance on the ice. Your role doesn't require you to be hockey experts - what matters most is offering consistency, encouragement, and a sense of belonging.
Our players range in age from 16 to 20, and billet families play a vital role in their growth, maturity, and day-to-day well-being. Many families are surprised by how rewarding the experience is. Over time, players often become like extended family members, and billet parents have the unique opportunity to watch them grow not only as athletes, but as young men.
The bonds formed through billeting are often long-lasting. Many billet families stay connected with players well beyond their WHL careers, following their progress into college, professional hockey, or as their lives move away from hockey. We invite you to take this meaningful step and experience firsthand the positive impact you can have in the life of a young athlete - while creating memores and relationships that will last for years to come.
