Robert Hayes
President and CEO
Robert Hayes is President and and CEO of Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation, assuming this position in June 2024. A native of Halifax, Mr. Hayes prior to his current role had a 35+ year career in the financial sector, working throughout Canada and the US. He held numerous Senior Executive positions that included leading client facing teams focused on areas such as mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance, sports & entertainment, private banking, risk management, and international. This has allowed him to gain a deep understanding across multiple industries and assist Canadian clients in growing their business operations. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University, FCMA, FCPA, and ICD.D designations. He has completed Executive Leadership & Strategic Management programs at Northwestern University, University of Western Ontario, and University of Toronto.
In the community Mr. Hayes presently sits on the Calgary Flames Foundation, Calgary Stampeders Foundation, Calgary Economic Development, Calgary Film Centre, and Prostate Cancer Centre Boards. Historically he has served on the Calgary Stampede Foundation $100 million capital campaign committee, served three terms on the United Way Executive Campaign Cabinet, Chaired the Wood’s Homes Foundation Board and assisted with a Capital Campaign and CEO search, was a Westside Recreation Centre board member where he Chaired the Human Resources Committee, and was a member of the Peter Lougheed Centre Development Council for over 10 years. In 2013 Mr. Hayes was recognized as one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential People.
Lorenzo DiCicco
Chief Operating Officer
Lorenzo DeCicco is the Chief Operating Officer of Calgary Sports & Entertainment Corporation, assuming this position in June 2024. Mr. DeCicco was most recently the Chief Commercial Officer with MET Brand Agency and METROPOLITAN Fine Printers, in Vancouver, B.C. During his time in Calgary prior to that, he was a Board Member with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, Calgary Foothills Soccer Club, and the TELUS Community Board. While with TELUS, DeCicco also held the title of Senior Executive & Vice President.
Mike Moore
Vice President and Governor
Mike Moore is in his 28th season in the Western Hockey League and 18th with the Calgary Hitmen. His tenure with the franchise began with a one-year term as Assistant General Manager in 1997-98. He spent six seasons as General Manager of the Kamloops Blazers (1998-2004) and one season as General Manager of the Medicine Hat Tigers (2004-05) and then moved to Edge School for three seasons as Director of Athletics (2005-08). He returned to the Hitmen for the 2008-09 season as the Director of Business Operations before adding the title of Assistant General Manager in 2012. Moore moved to the role of General Manager and Vice President of Business Operations in 2013. He was then promoted to Vice President and Governor in 2020. During his Hitmen tenure, Moore has received a pair of WHL recognitions: Marketing/Public Relations Award in 2010-11 and Eastern Conference nominee for the Lloyd Saunders Memorial trophy as WHL Executive of the Year in 2013-14.
Mike Moore has also served as the Vice President and Governor of the Calgary Roughnecks since 2017 and has held the Vice President and Alternate Governor role with the Calgary Wranglers since their move to Calgary was announced in May of 2022.
