Training Camp Report: Day 4
The Vancouver Giants continued training camp on Saturday at the Ladner Leisure Centre, and the day featured the first intrasquad scrimmage for the veteran players while rookie camp came to a close.

In the main camp game, Team Howe won big, defeating Team Quinn 10-1. Team Howe jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals by Dakota Odgers, Radovan Bondra and Clayton Kirichenko. Team Quinn’s lone marker of the game came in the second period when Kieren Brunetti found the net, but before the stanza was out, Team Howe had answered back with goals from Jakob Stukel and Dmitry Osipov to extend the lead. Thomas Foster and Jaden Anderson added their names to the scoresheet in the third period to make it 8-1 before the teams plays an extra five minute period of 3-on-3 action. In the additional frame, Team Howe padded their advantage with goals from Foster and Stukel.
Rookie camp also wrapped up on Saturday, and after the day was done, the Giants announced that 11 players would be back on Sunday to join main camp. Moving up from rookie camp will be Kaleb Bulych, Tristyn DeRoose, Bailey Dhaliwal, Dawson Holt, Alex Kannok-Leipert, James Malm, Dylan Plouffe, Tyler Popowich, Brendan Semchuk, David Tendeck and Tanner Versluis.
The Giants also re-assigned goaltender Tyler Shugrue to the San Diego Sabers of the Western States Tier II Hockey League.
Training camp continues on Sunday with practices during the day and another intrasquad game at 7:00pm at the Ladner Leisure Centre.
